This retail client required the development of a solution that would allow each store and region to identify, measure and plan for the optimal mix of on floor ranges. This solution would be developed using existing data sources re-purposed through a simple dashboard that could be quickly deployed to support the ongoing process of store ranging and optimisation.
What we did
Beyond Analysis were asked to design and develop the solution. This was achieved through building an analytics solutions to; - understand what ranges were the best sellers and how this varied by store and region; - measure the correlation of range plans on sales to identify the propensity of a range to become a best seller; - rank the performance and propensity to assist in the prioritisation of placement within an individual store.
This solution is enabling the business to quickly check what ranges are on the floor in a given store, compare and benchmark the performance over time and enable the business to seek marginal gains through tailoring the range by store type/group and individual store.
