Role description

The purpose of the role is to ensure projects are delivered with the most appropriate resource and that operational targets for utilisation are met. The Technical Resource Manager plays a pivotal role in the Vilnius office in helping to ensure a positive working environment for the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Schedule potential projects to forward plan resource, allocating appropriate and available team members as client projects arise. 

  • Manage training and IP generation time allocation for all technical delivery team members.

  • Liaise with Partner teams and review CRM system to understand projects likely to convert.

  • Provide timely reporting including resource utilisation versus budget, service desk management and operational metrics.

  • Liaise with Head of Data Science and Head of Product Development to ensure team members joining projects have the prior training and information they need to hit the ground running.

  • Lead by example with behaviours in line with the BA Way.

  • Assist in the smooth onboarding of Vilnius based team members including ordering of laptops, equipment, office security passes etc

  • Plan for transitions and rotations of team members. 

  • Maintain Jira including the creation of projects and addition of tickets.

  • Manage incoming tickets into the service desk and allocate to team members accordingly.

  • Ensure all project elements are complete at project close and support the process of gathering client feedback.

  • Support the efficient flow of work through Agile teams by helping the teams remove obstacles / impediments and Identify risks, issues and dependencies.

  • Ensure documentation and QA processes are followed.

  • Ensure optimal utilisation to agreed levels.

  • Support the COO with general operational tasks.

  • Act as Office Manager for the Vilnius office including organising team events.

  • Support the HR Manager with local knowledge and networking to attract the best staff.

  • Manage technical recruitment to include advertising and interviewing.

  • Produce resource plans to inform recruitment requirements.

  • Identify gaps in skills/experience to inform training requirements.

  • Act managerial capacity to the technical delivery team – offering support and development advice.

  • Keep up to date with emerging industry practices.

Knowledge & Experience

Skills and experience

  • Ability to juggle needs of many parties at once – all with their own priorities. 

  • Technical understanding of Development and data science practices sufficient to understand the requirements of projects to be able to allocate the most appropriate resource.

  • First class organisational and communication skills.
